Yes. Socialize uses T3 framework by Joomlart. T3 comes packed with great features that give you lots more flexibility with layouts, special effects and more.
Is Socialize included with JomSocial?
No, Socialize is not a part of JomSocial product. It is sold separately.
How easy is it to install Socialize?
Super easy. Just install the template file, t3 plugin and module toolbar, all provided.
Can I make my site look like Facebook with Socialize?
Pretty close! The top toolbar will give you that Facebook look-and-feel. It’s a feature that was never available before on any Joomla template, even those that supported JomSocial. I’ve seen many JomSocial templates before. What’s so special about Socialize?
Socialize is the only Joomla template developed by the team who knows JomSocial best: the JomSocial team!
The idea was to create a special template that would differ from the normal JomSocial design. We wanted to add a top toolbar and remove the regular toolbar, giving your site a more prominent social aspect. Your members will have easy access to alerts, their profile and their settings.
Will the top toolbar show on pages that are not JomSocial pages?
Yes, the top toolbar is a Joomla module that will show on any Joomla pages. Your members won’t have to go to the JomSocial pages to see alerts for new messages, friend requests, comments and likes.
Can I install the toolbar module on any other Joomla template?
No. This toolbar module is only available with the Socialize template and will only work with it. The template has many overrides and without it, the module won’t work.
Does Socialize come with other colors than the default blue?
Yes. Socialize comes in five beautiful colors: Dark Blue (default), Green, Red, Orange, and Dark. You can also create your own variations of colors using the ThemeMagic feature.
Does the dark theme work with the dark theme of the default JomSocial template?
Yes. If you choose the dark theme on Socialize, make sure you also switch to the dark theme on the JomSocial default template.
I installed the template but now my JomSocial toolbar is gone!
The toolbar is now located at the top of the page.
It has alerts, search, thumbnail, settings and logout links. The rest of the toolbar items can be added to your main menu. You can move them from the JomSocial toolbar menu to the main menu or simply use the “Hello Me” module to link to the different pages, as you can see on the following image.
